Thought you'd be amused that my mail carrier just stopped me while I was running and told me that the aroma from my coffee had filled her mail truck and she wanted to know where it came from.  Voila!  another customer!

Hello,
I just wanted to thank you for saving my coffee drinking.  I have on a search for the "ultimate cup of coffee." I have gone through many brands on line, been hypnotized from the Starbucks'-corporate machine, and have even shelled out the bucks for Kona blend.  Thankfully my friend Danielle Pinkus turned me on to your coffee (South Florida Blend).
Truly a fine cup of coffee.

I subscribed to the coffee of the month club as a father's day gift for my dad.  He loved the coffee and would get so excited each time he went out to get his mail and could smell the beans from 10 feet away!  He also appreciated who accommodating you were with sending his coffee on a schedule that worked with his rate of coffee drinking.  An ideal gift for this dad! Thanks! Carrie Jamison

I just wanted to let you know that my coffee arrived on Monday. Thanks for the extremely fast service. This was the first time I've used a French press, so I don't know if it was the brewing or the beans (or both!), but your coffee was the best, most flavorful I've tasted in years of drinking coffee. I think you've got a new devoted customer on your hands!

Subject: Your Coffee and Birds

Hi Roasted Bean:
I just wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoy your coffee. I never realized that there would be such a difference in fresh roasted coffee. Wow!! I'm a true convert to your  fresh roasted coffee.
I must say the reason I tried your coffee in the first place is because of an article in a magazine about shade grown coffee and how it relates to birds and their survival. I'm a avid birdwatcher and anything that will directly affect birds in such a positive way is something that I support. So I went on the web and found your site. What a delightful surprise. I love that first cup in the morning and now I can enjoy watching the birds out of my window and know that I'm doing them a favor by using shade grown coffee.
Thanks Roasted Bean for using shade grown coffee!
Yours Truly,
Vicki Buchman

Hello, friends,

I was in my yard this afternoon (Saturday) cutting three of the fallen trees courtesy of the hurricane season and I was thinking: "I should have ordered the coffee last Wednesday instead of Thursday. That's cutting it too close!" I had ground and brewed my last beans this morning and if I didn't get my new Sumatras in this afternoon's mail, I would have to wait 'til Monday to get them!. That meant that my favorite time of the week, the Pearl of my weekends, that pot of coffee in the quiet of early Sunday morning, would be ruined!!!
That was definitely cutting it too close!!!

A while latter, as I was hauling a load of logs to the road side, the mailman pulled up to the mailbox. OH, MY GOD! Would he bring the Sumatras? I dropped the handle of my overloaded cart an I approached the mailbox, tremulous. The mailman seemed too busy stuffing envelopes in the box oblivious to my presence. I finally said: "Good afternoon!" didn't have the guts to ask! When he finished shoving meaningless envelopes in the mailbox and I was fearing the worst, he started grinning, he reached into a bin saying "And somebody is getting his coffee today! I've been smelling this stuff all day and it smells good!!! I thought :"There is a God in the Heavens!!"
and blissfully I told him about the Roasted Bean.

You guys are doing important work, and you are doing it well. Every morning I only become a person after my first cup of your coffee.
You are the greatest.

I just wanted to say that you must have a truly amazing product.  I gave my father a gift of a 12 month subscription a couple of years ago, and now every year someone new asks for a subscription for Christmas!  I wish I could send everyone a subscription.  Keep up the good work!

As far as comments on the order processing, it would be nice if I could send an order to more than one shipping address.  In order to get a subscription to my sister and one to my mother, I had to place a separate order for each subscription.

I ordered a 3-month flavored coffee supply for my boyfriend for Christmas.  He just received the first order yesterday.  He e-mailed me this morning with the following comment:

“Hey, I forgot to tell you that the coffee is WONDERFUL.  I drank the whole pot this morning.  I like it better than the other brand I’ve been drinking.  I hope next month’s order is just as good. Thanks.”

He is very discriminating when it comes to his coffee and if this tasted “wonderful”, it must really be something.  Thanks for making me glad I ordered from you all.  If this continues, I’m sure gifts from The Roasted Bean will be a must for future holidays!!  Thanks again!!

Dear Wim and Philip,

I love your coffee and your service.  One thing that I have often wondered about, is how you are able to ship freshly roasted coffee to all of your customers.  For example, what if I am the only customer who has ordered a pound of Sumatra today.  Do you roast a single pound of Sumatra?  I imagine that you probably have a lot of regular orders each day, and so you are not faced with roasting single pounds of coffee for individuals.  But does it happen sometimes, and what do you do about it.

Separately, I must tell you that I am *immensely* enjoying two of your
coffees:  Mocca Java (Matari and Java) -- and La Minita Vienna Roast.  Both are superb.

Best regards,
Dan

In reply to your request for replies.

I must say I was impressed.

I stopped in at your N. Miami store several weeks ago and I approached the young Lady behind the counter.  I told her that I had been in the store a couple months before that and ordered some beans. I asked her if she could look up my account and see what I ordered.   Before I had a chance to tell her my name, She said, "You are Dennis Blackburn and you ordered -....."

She remembered exactly what I ordered.  I was shocked and asked her how she did that.  I can't even remember the name of the beans that I ordered today and she remembered my name and everything.  I can't get that out of my mind. What a wonderful person she was.

Excellent service.  I like your selection of organic coffees, and appreciate your including La Minita in the list, as it is well known to be near-organic.  I am glad you have Yemeni coffee, which is one of my favorites.  I have read in several sources that Yemeni coffee is non-certifiable because it's collected from many small 'micro-farmers' producing tiny crops, but that, like many Ethiopian coffees, it is grown traditionally without chemicals, which they cannot afford anyway. Since you listed La Minita, I thought I'd ask--do you know anything about this practice?

Also, I think your business model has closed the one problem with fresh-roast coffee mailing--shipping charges. I'm only going to buy a pound at a time, otherwise it will sit too long to be specialty-quality and there's no point ordering it; but with many charging $7 shipping, I'm not paying that much extra for a pound.  Your free priority mail,
and next-day roasting to order, perfect the process for me--despite my being about as far away as you can get in the lower 48.  You're also one of the few on the net letting me choose the roast, which was crucial in my decision.  I must have looked at nearly 100 online roasters, and you were the best for each of the above reasons.  I look
forward to drinking the coffee!
Sincerely,

James

Thanks for the confirmation! My Dad enjoyed his gift subscription over the last six months and requested I renew his subscription for Christmas.

We worked with another online vendor prior to our experience with The Roasted Bean and the customer service and coffee did not come close to yours! Your organic coffee is fantastic and your customer service has been so easy and delightful. Thanks for making online gift-giving so easy!

Thanks very much for the coffee.  These are truly the most beautiful beans I have EVER seen, and I've been buying from Starbuck's since they opened. They (Starbuck's) cannot touch them for quality or freshness.  I love the fact that the beans are truly Fresh-Roasted per my order, and look forward to doing my coffee purchasing through The Roasted Bean from now on.  You were recommended to me by Art (Yogi) Schmidt of Coral Gables, FL - a truly great recommendation from someone who also enjoys the best coffees.

Thanks very much.

I can't think of a single thing you could do to be better at what you do.  I've enjoyed tasting different coffees, narrowing them down to my favorites.  Your delivery is so dependable that I almost can't get to the grocery store as quickly as you ship your coffee -- and there's no comparison in taste!  As an owner of exotic birds, shade grown and organic coffees are important to me.  It's nice to know that no habitat is being destroyed to grow coffee.

Thanks!

I would like to comment on your coffee and my recent order to my mother. What a fantastic option. My mother doesn't live near me, But I like to keep in touch with her and send her little gifts from time to time. This is FANTASTIC, she has always loved the coffee - no matter which blend I select - and is thrilled to have this delivered to  her door.

She lives in a remote area, and fresh coffee is not an option!  This is wonderful.  I wish more people knew about this, It is such a great and unexpected gift that I can send to my mother!

Thank you so much
And Yes, she loves the coffee; she only does decaf
and I prefer the decaf flavored - everything  have had has been wonderful

I just wanted to email you and let you know how pleased I am with your product and service.  Our beans were roasted on the 26th and we received them (in California) on the 28th!  I thought that was outstanding.  We made some espresso yesterday (yummm) and brewed some of the Kenya today.  (Also yummmm).  I believe this is the best coffee I have ever tasted.  We had considered buying a home roaster and roasting our own beans but I believe we will drop this idea and continue to order our beans from you.  I have mentioned your web site to all of my coffee-drinking friends, especially those who like flavored coffees.
Thank you again and I look forward to placing more orders!
